In addition, CDC organizes periodic pot-lucks and senior citizen breakfast events to promote communitarian solidarity in the northern part of Quito.

CDC's MISSION: To build life-lasting learning experiences and develop skills and abilities in children. To promote useful, efficient, and human education while following Episcopal precepts to face up to and resolve real life problems.

CDC's VISION: To help children become the solicitors of their own development by giving them access to the principles and knowledge which will make an adequate life for them and their families feasible.

Volunteering takes many forms and is performed by a wide range of professionals and students.

SOCIAL-ECONOMIC VOLUNTEERING: The social capital represented by volunteering plays a key role in economic regeneration. Where poverty is endemic to an area, poor communities lack friends and neighbors able to help. This voluntary mutual aid or self-help is an important safety net.

  • English classes for young children 3 to 4 years old (Day Care: Portal de Belén)

MEDICAL VOLUNTEERING- Professional volunteers can make a significant contribution in the area of medicine. Others can play a vital role on an as-needed-basis, such as in response to a natural disaster. Either way, you can make a difference in the lives of those you meet and help while volunteering at the CDC and Health Center #9.
