All of our teachers are Native Spanish-Speakers and have experience in teaching Spanish as a second language.

Lourdes Castro, B.S.Ed.
Universidad Central of Ecuador (1988)
Specialization: linguistics applied in methodology. Lourdes has been teaching Spanish and English for over 20 years. As SOLEcuador's Academic Coordinator, she has developed international language and cultural didactic materials, methodology documentation, and has been in charge of educational planning for both, On-Site and Online Courses. Lourdes incorporates Latin American politics and history into her intermediate and advanced classes. Lourdes translates and proofreads from English to Spanish.
Sixto Román, B.S. E.d.
Universidad Central of Ecuador (1989)
Specialization: Linguistics applied in methodology. In 1991, Sixto started teaching elementary and high school levels. Later he began teaching Spanish as a second language to adults and specialized courses in various fields including: medicine, business, and security. Sixto has also worked as a translator in the fields of immigration documentation and renewable resources.
Marcela Benavides, B.S.
Universidad Católical of Ecuador (1998)
Specialization: Sociology and Political Science. Marcela has studied English as part of her linguistic training. She has taught geography and history at the high school level and philosophy at the Universidad Central of Ecuador. She has taught Spanish to basic and intermediate levels, as well as, Latin American Literature to advanced students.
Eraldo Leonel, B.C.E.
Universidad Central of Ecuador (2009)
Specialization: Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and English Studies. Leonel lends his expertise teaching technical Spanish courses.. He is an English and Spanish teacher for intermediate and advanced specialized levels. His students include including technicians, scientists, engineers, IT personnel.
Omar Leandro, B.T.S.
Universidad Central of Ecuador (2009)
Specialization: Bachelor of Tourism (Ecuador) and English studies. Omar has recently graduated but has already worked as a tourist guide as part of this formal education and work experience. Omar guides local tours in Spanish for Solecuador as part of our student's extra curricular activities.
