ON-SITE COURSES POLICY

A typical On-Site lesson lasts 1 hour.

On-Site Courses will be conducted for the full length of the scheduled lesson(s).

On-Site Courses will begin and finish on the scheduled day and time.

Lost time or persistent interruptions, adding up to 25% of the On-Site lesson due to technical problems beyond the control of the student or the teacher, will be recovered at a later time at the discretion of the instructor.

On-Site Students will be provided with all learning materials.

Once SOLEcuador receives your payment and confirmation of payment transfer and availability to start lessons, SOLEcuador will send new student(s) a welcoming message, a copy of weekly class schedule and a confirmation to start courses.

SOLEcuador goes through great lengths to meet our students expectations concerning the quality of our courses and teachers but if an On-Site student is not entirely satisfied with his/her On-Site teacher, the student request a different instructor. info@solecuador.com

All payments must be made to FEBRONIA DE LOURDES CASTRO COBA (Academic Director) in order for SOLE´s policies to be in effect. ANY PAYMENTS MADE TO OTHER LEARNING INSTITUTIONS, COMPANIES, FIRMS OR INDIVIDUALS DIFFERENT THAN THOSE MENTIONED ABOVE, SOLE WILL NOT BE LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE IN ANY WAY FOR COURSES, SCHEDULES OR REEMBURSMENTS.

ON-SITE LESSON CANCELLATION POLICY

Unless an On-Site student notifies SOLEecuador (24 to 48 hours in advanced, depending on the length of the course) before canceling a lesson, the On-Site student will lose that lesson. If the On-Site student is part of a TWO-on-ONE or GROUP 3+ TYPE OF COURSE, it's recommended that he or she contacts his/her learning partner(s) to catch up on any missing material or homework scheduled for the following class.

If proper notification is issued than the student is eligible for a make-up lesson at the discretion of the teacher.

ON-SITE COURSE TERMINATION POLICY

Unless an On-Site student decides to terminate his or her Spanish course in its entirety do to a valid reason and within a reasonable period of time (moving away from Quito, health issues, etc.), the On-Site student will not be reimburshed for the remaining time left in his/her Learning Package.

If On-Site course termination is due to the dissatisfaction of the student with the lessons or teacher, SOLE may advice the student to change either course type, course level, and/or instructor.

Reimbursements will take effect in extraordinary circumstances such as serious illness or unforeseen events during their time in Ecuador and will apply ONLY to the remaining time of the total course. (A 20% charge of this remaining time will be deducted for administrative expenses).

ON-SITE STUDENT POLICY

On-Site students should notify SOLE or their Online Tutor (via Email) if they plan to miss any Online lessons at least 24 to 48 hours in advanced, depending on the lenght of the course, in order to schedule a make-up lesson. Failing to do so will result in the loss of the missed lesson(s).

On-Site students must make a full payment of the Learning Package of their choice before starting schedule lessons. (This is not applicable to Free Trial Class)

On-Site students are entirely responsible for covering any and all transfer fees if applicable.

On-Site students are expected to perform all learning tasks and do the written exercises as instructed by their tutor.

On-Site students should advice their tutor about topics or tasks that they do not wish to do.

On-Site students should try to work out any problems with schedules or courses with their tutor before contacting the Academic Director.

On-Site students are expected to carry themselves in a respectful and courteous manner throughout the length of the On-Site lesson.

TWO-on-ONE COURSES: if one of the learning partners is NOT PRESENT at the specified  day and time without a valid justification, the lesson or lessons WILL NOT be recovered. The missing student is encouraged to contact his/her learning partner(s) to catch up on any missed material or homework. 

On-Site students who wish to register in TWO-one-ONE Courses are encouraged to bring a learning partner with them. SOLEcuador will provide a equivalent learning partner to any student who does not have a learning partner but who still wishes to take TWO-on ONE courses. (Check for availability with the Academic Director)

On-Site students who wish to switch to TWO-to-ONE Courses can do so depending on class availability.

GROUPS 3+ COURSES: if one or more of the GROUP learning partners is NOT PRESENT at the specified day and time without valid justification, the lesson or lessons WILL NOT be recovered.  The missing student(s) is/are encouraged to contact other GROUP learning partners in order to catch up on any missed material or homework.  

On-Site students who wish to enroll in one of our GROUPS 3+ Courses are encouraged to bring their own group learning partners with them (At least 2 other students). Students who do not have enough group learning partners can check with the Academic Coordinator for Groups 3+ availability.

On-Site students who wish to switch to GROUP Courses can do so depending on class availability.

ON-SITE TEACHER POLICY

On-Site teachers will begin and finish lessons as scheduled.

On-Site teachers will contact their student(s) if an On-Site lesson is to be canceled 24 to 48 hours in advanced, depending on the lenght of the course.

On-Site teachers will wait 20 minutes after the scheduled On-Site lesson's starting time even if the student is not present in case he or she is running a little late. If the On-Site student fails to show up after 20 minutes, then he or she will be considered absent and the lesson WILL NOT be recovered.

On-Site teachers will offer make-up lessons to On-Site students who notify planned absences to SOLEcuador as described in the On-Site Courses Policy page.

On-Site teachers must explain all material and give clear instructions before assigning homework or carrying out tests.

On-Site teachers will pay close attention to the individual needs and interests of the student.

On-Site teachers will begin conducting lessons entirely in Spanish as students learn basic grammar and improve their vocabulary. (Intermediate and Advanced Courses will be conducted in Spanish only).

On-Site teachers will carry lessons in a professional and respectful manner.

ON-SITE COURSE PAYMENT POLICY

All prices are per student and paid in U.S. Dollars.

On-Site Students must make a full payment of the Learning Package of their choice before starting schedule lessons. (This is not applicable to Free Trial Class)

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our Online and On-Site information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted to SOLE and/or any of our staff.


The Way We Use Information:

We use the information you provide about yourself when registering only to complete the registration process and purchase of Learning Packages. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

We DO NOT share information with advertisers or any outside entity.

Referrals and Testimonials from students have been accurately transcribed and with the consent of those involved.
